Before the performance, the audience is prompted to create and submit short video clips. During the event, these clips are streamed live, in an order determined by the audience, while the actor playing Homer improvises the narrative in response. Audience members may also post comments on the clips, Homer’s improvisations, and each other’s observations. These comments are visible to Homer and incorporated into the performance. The work can be experienced either in the theater or virtually, with full participation in both formats.
